Season 1 of India’s first Real Estate e-Talk Show Ends with a Fiery Grand Finale; Features Who’s Who of The Industry

After 12 weeks of unprecedented success, Season 1 of the first-ever E-talk show of Real Estate culminated on September 5, 2020. Ending on the Teacher’s day, the show taught lessons in marketing, content and creation alike.

The show was conceptualised and presented by Alchemist, a full services marketing agency and Clay, its specialised division that only has sustained interests in and works only with Real estate and Retail clients, to unlock their marketing potential. “Clay Dialogues was incubated to be industry’s only Real Conversations with Realty Icons”, and was a unique and powerful live show – a first for the real estate industry.

The show is hosted by Manish Porwal, MD – Alchemist. Known to be the man who gives wings to many dreams, Manish is a coveted name in the marketing industry, especially that of real estate and has a marketing experience of more than 25 years. Manish was nominated by the Economic Times amongst the Top 10 media stalwarts.

Season 1 of the series featured 11 top real estate industry heroes who are at leading positions not just in their organisations, but also the industry. They, in order of their episodes, were:

Pankaj Bansal, Director – M3M India
Sanjay Dutt, MD & CEO – Tata Realty
Boman Irani, Chairman & MD – Rustomjee
Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Co-founder & MD – Hiranandani Group
Dhaval Ajmera, Director – Ajmera Group

Vijay Wadhwa, Chairman Emeritus – The Wadhwa Group
Getamber Anand, Chairman & MD – ATS Infrastructure

Mohit Goel, CEO – Omaxe Ltd.
M R Jaishankar, CMD – Brigade Group

Sanjay Dutt, MD & CEO – Tata Realty appreciated the format by writing several posts on his social media pages where he talked about enjoying his weekend appearance on the show with Manish. He goes on to add, “Now this is what I call innovation.

Just when people in the industry would have thought all that is to be said is already said, here was Clay Dialogues, an up-close show. I was told people enjoyed all the episodes as much as I thoroughly enjoyed my own”

This 60-minute show, every Saturday at 4 PM, was a one-on-one show between the host and the guest. While each episode began with understanding the views of the guest on the current, past and future of real estate and their respective companies, it soon took a unique turn.

The legends were soon, in other sections, led to talk about their own life, their friends and family, their unsung talents, their fear and ambitions, which define them. Few of the family, colleagues, old friends and even industry rivals were called to speak on the guests too. The show had an open house section where the audience could place their questions and ended with a quirky Rapid cross-versations round, where the guest was asked some tricky, witty and quick questions demanding some difficult answers.

This show was a platform to show people in the industry and those interested in it, a true and human profile of its iconic leaders, their thought process and the way they lead their lives. Alchemist and Clay had already hosted industry-first webinars to discuss industry issues extensively and just when the market wondered what next could they serve to them, they created Clay Dialogues

The show ended with a Grand Finale Episode where 7 out of the 11 stalwarts came back together and created history on the computer screen. They brought frank views of these captains on some pertinent questions and they also were asked fun questions on each other and their understanding of real estate trivia was tested

Season 1 reached more than 18,000 people on various platforms, live and recorded, through Facebook, Zoom and YouTube. For a niche vertical, these numbers are humongous and unmatched and are still growing as the episodes are still resting on the platforms and will also soon be seen on podcasts. Qualitatively, the show received a huge thumbs up from the leaders and followers of the industry alike.

Here is what Dhaval Ajmera – Director, Ajmera Group said “An excellent show to be on, I not only enjoyed it as a guest but also as an audience. It was surprising for me to see my family members, friends and colleagues talk about me. I really enjoyed the Finale episode being with the industry stalwarts and learned several things about them which I was unaware of.”

Boman Irani – Chairman & MD – Rustomjee is looking forward to the next season, when he was asked that according to him how is Clay Dialogues he quoted “It was a pleasure interacting on the show and I trust it was as interesting for the viewers as it was for me”.

M R Jaishankar – CMD, Brigade Group, who was the lone guest from the South of India, when asked stated “I enjoyed the show and I have received lots of messages from people complimenting the episode.”

Manish Porwal, MD – Alchemist and the host, said “The idea was to bring the real face of the real estate giants in front of the audience as people tend to only know them in black and whites, through the brand they are leading and the image their PR team creates.

We are humbled by the fact that we got such top names to feature, huge audiences which repeated and sent us such wonderful feedback and asked us to come back with Season 2 faster than we were planning. I am indebted to my wonderful team who never got tired while managing the enthusiasm and quality, week on week, for 16 consecutive pre-production and production weeks.”

Farhan Khan COO – Alchemist says “I honestly hadn’t anticipated so much love and the wonderful feedback we got for the show. Being the producers, it was challenging for us to the get the best of the best speakers and content for our audience, in these times when most people wanted to stay quiet.

Once we managed that, being relevant and engaging in our content was our objective and I/m told we did a great job there. We made Real Estate industry desirable and its captains more up close with its normal citizens. This platform helped the audience get a deeper understanding of that person who has given his blood and sweat to build his empire. We are hoping to get some bigger names and a better format for season 2 which will be announced soon.”
